Katie Pennington

Katie Pennington is a high school principal at Holland Public Schools with an exceptional record of fostering creative, high-functioning and academically rewarding environments for students. She became the principal at Holland Public Schools for the 2016-2017 school year and considers working with students each and every day to be her calling in life.  During her time at Holland, Katie has been addressing current problems, seeking solutions, and highlighting the impressive accomplishments of the students, teachers and administrators that call Holland home.  With two decades of experience in education, Katie is always searching for ways to bring opportunities to pupils who might otherwise never have the chance. She believes that every student deserves a fair chance with their education, and hopes to bring those dreams to a reality to as many students as she can. She's ecstatic that Holland Public Schools as an early college program to help students advance their education -- which something she's always strongly believed in! Katie has served on the Ottawa-Kent (OK) Conference Executive Board since 2011. She was also a member of the Kent Intermediate School District (KISD) Secondary Principals Leadership Team.She is also active on the Armed Forces Thanksgiving Event Committee.
